Derek joined Mirador as an Analyst in 2017 and currently serves as Vice President of Reporting. He is responsible for all aspects of the data management and special project teams. At Mirador, Derek combines his expertise in technology solutions, performance reporting, and his knowledge of the industry to help provide clients with a single, comprehensive view of their wealth.
Before joining Mirador, Smith received his B.S. in Finance from Quinnipiac University where he was Captain of the Quinnipiac Men’s Division I Ice Hockey Team and was selected as the ECAC Student-Athlete of the Year.
Derek, his wife Sydney, daughter Emersyn, and dog Murphy all enjoy sports and outdoor activities. They especially look forward to their trips back to Minnesota where they spend time with friends and family.
